The Capital is the tallest building in Bismarck build in 1883. Is the house of government, and was burned once and was rebuilt in 1930. Some people burned their hands trying to save important documents during the fire, such as the Constitution.
The Missouri river offers now boat rides. Is the longest river in North America, it flows in Bismarck east and then continues to other south states for 2,341 miles (3,767 km).
There is a sculpture park near the river.
In hopes of attracting German investment, the Northern Pacific Railway renamed the city Bismarck, in honor of Otto von Bismarck , a German chancellor. Besides oil, you can see Bisons and the great mountains.
There is a farmers market. Not so much to offer but it does exist. Bismarck is the second most populated city after Fargo. People travel often to Fargo for provisions or to go to other restaurants.
And of course, the oil companies are there. Seems they have more oil than Texas does. And they are always looking for people to work on them, so the other jobs available are fast chains that are often shorted of staff , cost they pay less consider the good salaries of the oil business.
