Philadelphia has been in part of famous shows as Prince of Bel Air or the movie Rocky.
Philadelphia was the temporary capital of United States when Washington DC was under construction. They sign important documents at the Independence Hall such as the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution in 1787. On top of the building is the Liberty Bell. But the original Bell has a crack and it does not sound any more, they were trying to fix the Bell crack and it when they ring it on Washingston’s birthday anniversary the crack expanded. There is an inscription that is a quote of the Bible “Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the Inhabitants thereof” (Leviticus XXV, v.10) , it makes the Bell a symbol of the America Revolution to remind the liberties gained and a reminder of liberties denied.
The Love Park has an sculpture designed by Robert Indiana. It became a location identify with the skaters. Famous skater features videos that contains footage of them at Love.
The City Hall was for many years the tallest building. On top there is a statue of William Penn, founder of the city. Penn’s statue is hollow, and a narrow access tunnel through it leads to a small (22-inch-diameter) hatch atop the hat. In the 1950s, the city fathers investigated tearing down City Hall for a new building elsewhere. They found that the demolition would have bankrupted the city due to the building’s masonry construction.
Many characters are part of the American History. We saw where Betsy Ross lived, she represents many woman who supported her families during the Revolution and early Republic. Famous because she did the first stars and stripes american flag for the goverment for 50 years.
From Philadelphia is “the First American”, aka Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of United States. He was a world-renowned polymath, a leading author, printer, politician, postmaster, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. You can visit his grave and find many statues across the city.
What fascinated me is walking around and see all the crystal murals! You can go to The Magical Gardens, but there are everywhere!
And of course the food! The famous Phili cheesesteak! the secret is the Wiz cheese! but I try it in the reading terminal market at Jims!
Is a city with the biggest Museum in the United States and we can also find the statue of The Thinker at the Rodin Museum!
Cute and fun neighborhoods are South Street and West Washington Square with tons of bars and restaurants. This last one knows as the “Gayhood”. Mosr of the restaurants are BYOB (bring your own bottle).
