Portland is a foody city. There are lots of good markets like Rosemont Market, Verandah, the Old Port, where there is the Harbor Fish Market. Maine is know for their lobster so we where trying our best to find the real lobster roll.  Check out this two places with ocean views. The Lobster Shack vs Bite into Maine. I have to say Bite in Maine is a food truck but it was the Best one! try the Picnic Lobster Roll…a bomb of pleasure in your mouth!

Maine has a circus school!!! There is an Art district, check out the galleries MECA and SPACE. Also there is a lot of environmental concerns. One example is that the city makes people buy their own Blue Trash Bag, that cost $1 a bag. If the trash is not in that bag, they won’t pick it up, and they do have a compost service too. Besides there are a lot of spaces who share their facilities. And example is this location, where you can find a community kitchen, a Fermentory bar, an aphoteque garden… Check Urban Farm Fermentory and Maine Pie Line (Best Pie Ever!!!).

Drove around the coast. Spot some beaches, like Ogon quin,the Back Cove (big lake) and we saw the vacation home of Bush!!! Also Freeport, is a city full of  Outlets. People go crazy there. And they have a LL Bean store that open 24h/365 so it does not have a lock!!!!

One of the most photographic light houses is in South Portland! Fort Williams and Bug Light!

Perfect for Kayak!!!! Not in Winter, obviously. 

Casco Bay is beautiful!!! who will think that before people use to trash it out!  So many new things happening in this city!

And there is a thing call… “the ferry math”…because there are so many islands, there is a ferry service, and if you don’t catch the last one, you have to catch a private taxi, and that cost a lot…so do the ferry match and think if that last drink, is worth it to pay the taxi back home! DO IT DO IT DO IT!
